Kevin Kelly Architects Feature in Gingerbread City Article
Kevin Kelly Architects are pleased to be included in an article in the Architects’’ Journal featuring the Gingerbread City. Our Museum of Marshmallows makes a list of selected sweet treats designed by over 100 leading architecture firms.
Organised by charity the Museum of Architecture and now in its sixth year, the Gingerbread City aims to ‘champion sustainable design ideas and puts an exciting twist on the traditional gingerbread house’.
The cities contain ‘everything you might expect to see in a real-life city' including homes, stations, markets as well as museums, wetlands, farms, parks and gardens.
The charity is dedicated to finding new ways for the public to engage with architecture.
Museum of Architecture founder Melissa Woolford said the show put forward ‘many brilliant ideas for how to tackle the challenge of building for different climates’. She added: ‘By bringing all these ideas together, the Museum of Architecture hopes to inspire meaningful conversations around how we can act to help save our planet.
